Dream: Organic farmer
I know this sounds silly. I don’t want to be a famous person or a sports star or an astronaut. I just want to be a self-sustaining farmer. I want to own a few acres and farm them organically. I dream of waking up every morning at the crack of dawn, to watch the sun rise while I collect chicken eggs. I want to lovingly prune my fruit trees in my orchard and watch them bloom and fruit. I want to wrap my arms around a tiny new born lamb and thank God that she lives and that I do as well. I want to build a home that gives more than it takes. I want to teach my children the meaning of life and watch life happen with them. I want to grow fruits and vegetables, eggs, and fish and sell my produce at a tiny road side stand. I’m going blind and most people say I have to finish college and get a real job and work 9-5. They want me to put my children in day care and let someone else raise them. I want to raise my children and I want to teach them to love our country and our world and all of the wonderful people and things in it. Then I want to teach others to raise their own animals and to dig their hands deep into the earth and cry out in joy of life. I want to live my life in accordance with all that is good in this world and that is my dream.
