Chip and I stayed with the lovely Rachel Taylor when we were in Charleston. After a night of college fun we woke up at 9 a.m. to hit up the Charleston farmer’s market.
There was veg everywhere!
And delicious food!
There was also adorable dogs:
Pony rides for $2! (Chip refused to hop on)
A giant orb you could get rolled around in and run in:
And general carnival-style, family-friendly mayhem:
Charleston really was voted the most polite city in America. Southern charm y’all!
We spent our time in Savannah, Georgia clickety-clacking away on our keyboards at Back in the Day Bakery. I ate an old-fashioned cupcake with pink icing too fast to take a picture. So cute in here!
Chip and I split a caprese sandwich- giant tomato slices, thick pieces of fresh mozzerella cheese and oil and vinegar on foccacia bread. SO GOOD.
In other news, this is what Chip ate for dinner last night:
Congealed macaroni, nom nom nom
When Chip and I made it to Florida we were expecting suntanning, pina coladas and coconut shrimp. Instead, there was a hurricane watch, so the KOA people had to move us from our tent site to a kabin, so we didn’t get blown away and they didn’t get sued. Our kabin was the klassiest of places…
with bunk beds!
gourmet meals!
and the champagne of beers!
Oh, we also watched this fun flick…

Travel on.
